This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Liz Ferro, Founder and CEO of Girls With Sole. I was fascinated by Liz when I saw an online clip about her running the Great Wall Marathon in China, regarded by many as the most difficult marathon in the world. After a big of digging, I discovered Liz is the founder and CEO of Girls With Sole, a nonprofit organization based in northeastern Ohio whose mission is to use free fitness and wellness programs to empower the minds, bodies and souls of girls who are at-risk or have experienced abuse of any kind. Liz is also the author of her personal memoir, Finish Line Feeling. Liz lives a life trying to share the personal empowerment she's found in running with some young ladies she knows need it most.
